What a day it has been...well it's already Sunday and I spent the day Saturday most of the day in bed. I swear some days I feel like I'm 100 yrs old. It took me soooo long to be able to get out of bed and try and finish my painting and get some other projects I have in the works finished. Well, needless to say, I did get to work on some of the days I have pending and that makes me very happy. This is weekend at CHA for lots of the creative people. I have always wanted to go but haven't been able to just yet. I know that someday I definitely will. It would be so much fun to meet some of you all in person..it would bring me much joy.

Well, I'm working on a new little project from a class I've been taking over at Roses on My Table with Zinnia. She is really awesome and I will post that pic tomorrow. I also worked on a painting I had started and it's just about done. Sooo, I have a few in the works right now and that's great. I'm thinking of having a give away on my blog soon so stay tuned for the details. OK , here is the little Angel I worked on today.

Nite, catch u all tomorrow...Blessings. !

Round Robin Comes Home

Happy Wednesday to you all..!!  It's been a really long day for me today.  Visit with Dr. and need to get my cholesterol DOWN..:-o.  Yikes. !!!  I love sweets , so that's gonna be a challenge ...but YES I CAN.
I received my round robin art journal this weekend and I was so excited.  It's been traveling all over  and it's last stop was Canada.  If anyone doesn't know what a Round Robin is, well, it's when a select number of people choose to create an art journal and mail it to each other with a theme. Each person then creates a page for the person and keeps passing it on til yours comes back to you.  It really truly is awesome to get it back and see all the wonderful pages created with your theme in mind.  Here are a few of the pages from mine....thanks to all the wonderful ladies who took the time to create a page for me....Blessings & Hugs to all of you. !!

A New Day.

Good Morning to all of you.  I am almost done with my painting and I just sketched out a brand new one. I will post it a little later in the day.  My Sarcoid seems to be a little bit active today but we will see how far I will allow it to deter me from my work....LOL. !!  Let's start today with this simple prayer I thought was very appropriate for me today....see you all later..!!

Lord, fill my eyes with wonder again. Let me see the beauty of the sunrise and of the sparkling dew. Let me be as a child who can joyfully bask in the light of a brand new day.

What If...

This was sent to be my my aunt.  I thought it was beautiful so I'm sharing it with you.  I didn't get
to work on my paintings today.  I woke up feeling like a truck had run over my body.  Tomorrow is another day and will do my best to continue working.....Blessings. !!!

What if there isn't "anymore"?

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore".
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage.....And old cars... And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way... Now it's your turn to send this to all those people who are "keepers" in your life, including the person who sent it, if you feel that way. Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back. And just in case I'm gone tomorrow:

I LOVE YA!!!

Live today because tomorrow is not promised.

Mixed Media Art Journal with Zinnia

You Will Love This...!

I stumbled across this site quite by accident and I am soooo glad I did.  If you are a hopeless romantic or love things vintage you need to check this out.  Zinnia is really a very special lady. Her workshops are incredible and very thought provoking.  I was going through a rough time, you know one where your
creativity is basically on vacation when I found it.  I tell you , God , the universe whatever you choose to call Our Supreme Being really does lead us every single day to where we NEED to be at this very moment.  I am still working on my mixed media project and will post a picture a bit later.  Yesterday my friend came over and helped me reorganize my workshop for me.  Sarcoidosis is a very unforgiving disease....it's like Forest Gump's famous line "Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get".  This is exactly what it's like living with this disease.  Well, here is the video I saw this morning of Zinnia doing her magic.....enjoy and have a Blessed day. !!!!

OK guys...I just watched some videos of a class I'm taking online with Tam at Willowing & Friends.
Thought that I would keep you all posted as to what I'm working on at the moment. I usually have a zillion projects going on at the same time but mostly in my head....lol. !!.  This year, my word is Choices, so let's begin by making some.  Here is a small preview of one of my choices for the project we are working on.  I really love the colors and I hope you will come back and see my work in progress.  I am off now to listen to some music and begin.

Great Giveaway

Hey, hope you all had a really fantastic weekend.  Here I am doing my nightly insomniac routine of surfing to find great sites.   I just couldn't shut off my computer without sharing this with you.  It is called Tidings of Great Joy and you just need to go right here and enjoy.  Have a great night/day wherever you may be at this time....Blessings to you all. !!!! Be Back Later. !!

New Workshop Begins on Monday

Hi everyone, first, let me thank all of those who offered their support and advice yesterday regarding my horrible experience at the groomer for my sweet Frida.  I am definitely working on it and hopefully this will not happen to another dog again.

Now , I would like to invite you all to check out the new workshop that starts on Monday over at Willowing & Friends.  Tam is an amazing teacher and the group of ladies who take this course are just awesome. You will definitely come out learning so much from her you will not regret it.  She also offeres a free workshop which thousands have already taken. She has a heart of Gold and simply just helps you heal through your art process.  I highly recommend it.  Check it out; here

This Made Me Mad...urggggggggh !

My dog Frida went to get groomed this morning.  My DH took her to a place where she'd only been to once because her usual groomer kind of just disappeared. He use to come to the house and groom her here, which I really like because I saw how she was being treated.  OMG, you have no idea what a day it was for me.  When he went to pick her up and brought her home I noticed that she looked like she hadn't been groomed at all except for her face and somewhat her paws.  The worst part was when I looked at her tummy she looked like she'd been cut or something.  I was FURIOUS.  I wasn't feeling well but with my oxygen and all I HAD to go there and show them what had been done and why.  They could tell I was angry but they didn't seem to care much.  They said that the dog was misbehaving and had bitten one of the people holding her.  OK, why didn't they call me right away and tell me she wasn't letting them groom her so we could go and help or pick her up.  I know I need to report this to someone but I don't know where...can anyone help.  I live in the Caribbean.  I'm posting these pictures and I'm hoping that some of you can let me know what you think.  I would surely appreciate it.

OK, the first 2 are the marks on her belly and the last one is proof of a very bad grooming.  Does she look like she got her hair cut....come on...give me a break. I'm telling you, I haven't gotten this angry in a very long time.

A Brand New Start

Hi, some of you may already know who I am.  I have a blog called Scrap to Remember which was started a few years ago and kind of got put on the top shelf.  I've been wanting to start blogging again since facebook has taken over the "world" basically...lol. I've made many wonderful friends during these years and have learned many things from sharing views and ideas with them.  I've taken a few workshops also and thought it would be a good idea to share with all of you the things I've created along the way.  I have titled my blog "Artist in Training", this is always the case for me and I'm sure for most artists. There is always something new to learn and experience every single day.  I hope to be able to share that with you.  I began digi scrapping and belonged to a few creative teams of which I am so grateful for turning me onto the world of digital. I am especially grateful the the DSP site where a wonderful group of ladies called the Grannies, helped me through some really tough times.  It is late and I hope to be back tomorrow to continue my story with you so you can see where I am at this stage in my life.  I suffer from a disease called Sarcoidosis and we will discuss that furthur down the road....Blessings to you all. !!

Here is an page from one of my art journals.  TFL. !!
